Volunteers are needed to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our participants. As a Companionship Volunteer, you will assist with the daily activity program, encourage socialization, and help support participants and staff. This role involves engaging participants in various activities designed to enhance their mental, physical, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with leading and facilitating daily scheduled activities such as crafts, arts, and games.
- Encourage social interaction and foster a positive, welcoming environment for participants.
- Support participants in small gardening projects and assist with gardening activities.
- Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful conversations with participants.
- Help staff with any additional tasks related to participant care and activities.
Requirements:
- Passion for working with seniors and individuals with varying abilities.
- Ability to engage and connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
- Enthusiasm for arts, crafts, gardening, and activities that promote physical and mental stimulation.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently when needed.
- No prior experience required; training and guidance will be provided
