We are open by appointment, but the shelter is a big place and it is helpful to have a volunteer escort patrons to the animal areas where they can meet a potential new pet.

We are seeking people friendly animal lovers who would be willing to escort patrons, hand out applications, answer questions and facilitate the beginning of our adoption process. Some individuals might also be comfortable helping return phone calls to citizens needing information, adoption appointments or food pantry assistance.
