The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund is seeking volunteers to help box children’s gifts for the holiday season. This is a meaningful and family-friendly opportunity to spread joy to local children and families in need.

Details & Requirements:

  • Open to individuals and families (limit of 20 total clusters (individuals/families per night. A cluster is no more than 4 to 5 people as you are shopping and one unit).

  • Because of the high demand for this opportunity, each volunteer or family may attend only one volunteer shift during the entire holiday season.

  • Registration: The individual or one adult per cluster must register through this system. The entire cluster will volunteer together as one unit under that registration (limit 4 to 5 people per unit total). This is NOT for groups.

  • Waivers for additional adults and children will be completed on-site.

  • Only registered volunteers will be permitted to stay and participate—no walk-ins allowed.

Additional Information:

  • The Firemen’s Cheer Fund no longer distributes used toys. Volunteers are strongly encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate—perhaps one that will go into a box you help pack!
