Who We Are

Mission: To uplift spirits of less fortunate children and their families in the Columbus community by providing them with holiday cheer.

The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund, based in Columbus, Indiana, is one of the oldest charitable organizations in the area, with a mission to bring joy and support to families during the holiday season. Founded by local firefighters in 1930, the Cheer Fund has a long-standing tradition of delivering toys and gifts to children in need. Through the combined efforts of firefighters, volunteers, and generous community donations, the organization spreads holiday cheer to underprivileged families, ensuring that children who may otherwise go without experience the joy of receiving during the festive season. The Cheer Fund embodies the spirit of giving and community solidarity.

What We Do

The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund provides gifts to underprivileged children during the holiday season. Each year, firefighters and volunteers collect, sort, and distribute donated items to families in need, ensuring that no child is left without a gift to open on Christmas. The organization also runs toy drives and fundraising events to support its mission. Through these efforts, the Cheer Fund helps create a brighter and more joyful holiday experience for children and families who are struggling financially.
