Who We Are
Mission: To create safe spaces to foster community and provide programming that empowers LGBTQ+ youth and magnifies their voices.
We are IYG, a nonprofit organization committed to fostering a safe, inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ youths in Indiana. We serve as a crucial pillar of support for these young individuals, offering a wide range of services like leadership development, community engagement programs, and mental wellness resources. By prioritizing their safety, personal growth, and overall wellness, we aim to empower LGBTQ+ youths to envision and work towards a future filled with hope, success, and acceptance.
What We Do
IYG serves young people ages 12-24 who self-identify as LGBTQ+, as well as their ally peers. All programs and services are offered free of charge. IYG strives to provide safe spaces to build self-confidence, explore individualism, and develop friendships within the LGBTQ+ community. IYG promotes a space of acceptance, equity, and restorative practices. We also advocate for LGBTQ+ youth in schools, the community, and through family support services.
