Who We Are

Mission: To provide cost-effective, environmentally sound programs of waste management and waste reduction for all residents of Bartholomew County.

At Bartholomew County Solid Waste Management District (BCSWMD), we aim to promote responsible waste management and environmental stewardship. Our key focus is to provide resources and programs that encourage waste minimization, recycling, and proper disposal of waste. With an overarching goal to improve the quality of life within Bartholomew County, Indiana, we devote our efforts to facilitate continuous education about sustainable waste management practices. In the quest to conserve our environment, we lead by example through maintaining safe and efficient operations for solid waste disposal and recycling.
