United Way of Bartholomew County is seeking volunteers to help with our upcoming Poverty Simulation.
Volunteers assume roles of social workers and government agency workers who assist participants who are assuming roles of someone living in poverty.
It is a simulation, not a game. The object is to sensitize participants to the realities faced by low-income people and understand what it might be like to live in the typical low-income family trying to survive from month to month.
