Established in 1992, George Junior Republic in Indiana (GJR in IN) is a private, nonprofit organization providing community-based and home-based services to 1,500 youth and families annually across 62 Indiana counties.
What We Do
George Junior Republic in Indiana is a non-profit agency that provides continuum of care for at risk youth and families across the state in different settings:
1. An independent living program for older youth. This program is for youth in need of a structured environment and daily life skills instruction.
2. Home based services for families and youth in their own homes, schools, and communities.
3. Psychological Evaluations and Neuropsychological evaluations for youth and family.
4. Parenting Assessments
5. Grant funded programs for youth and families throughout the state of Indiana.
Many youth can be maintained in their homes with a structured routine and support system without having to undergo treatment in a residential facility. The philosophy of George Junior Republic’s home based care is that at risk youth should be treated in the least restrictive environment appropriate to meet their needs and safety. We provide therapy, case management, supervised visits as well as other services to meet the needs of the youth and family.
