Who We Are
Mission: To inspire and cultivate the appreciation, creation, and celebration of all forms of art in Columbus.
Columbus Area Arts Council is a leading arts agency in Bartholomew County, partnering with state, regional and local organizations to bring the arts to everyone. CAAC is a not-for-profit corporation supported by public and private donations, the City of Columbus, the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts. The Arts Council exists to strengthen the community through arts and culture. Our strategic objectives are to Serve the Community, Cultivate a Creative Network, Foster and Develop Young Talent, and Expand Quality of Place.
What We Do
At Arts in Columbus, we are focused on building, amplifying, and strengthening the arts and cultural sector of our community. Our belief is that creativity inspires, brings joy, and helps our community thrive. Through various events, workshops, and funds, we empower and promote the artists and arts organizations who reside in our locale. We not only advocate for the arts but also provide abundant resources and opportunities to highlight the work of local artists on a wider scale. With our endeavour, we aim to foster creativity and make Columbus a vibrant place to live, work, and play.
